The Code
I built this program to send a monthly snapshot of a google sheet that I used to track my kids spreadsheet bank account which I referred to as "Bank of Dad". The sheet automatically added an allowance amount each week and I had a google form I would use to track purchases they made with this account. The kids had read access to this google sheet but once it accidentally got deleted so I built this monthly email program to work as a backup to the sheet and also summarize the kids expenditures in monthly blocks. This was very useful to help them consider purchases and hold them accountable to not overspend. Plus it was great to say yes to every purchase they asked for given that it would come out of their account. My kids are older now and have regular bank account, but this was a great start to personal finance for them.
